My father Rufus, a construction superintendent by profession, opened a Retriever Training Kennel in 1964 and our family trained and Field Trialed Retrievers. A 16 compartment chassis mount dog box we designed and built, in a two car garage, in 1972 started the Deerskin Manufacturing Business. I personally trained retrievers until 1985 when my brother and I took over the business to pursue manufacturing durable and attractive dog equipment. Now I am the sole owner of the dog trailer and chassis mount dog box manufacturing business known as Deerskin. Eighteen years experience in dog training coupled with 32 years experience manufacturing dog equipment assures our clients a product that is safe for the animals, user friendly, attractive and with all the newest features. At Deerskin we hand craft every product in our line to the highest standard of excellence. Every detail in each trailer and truck body we build is given special attention to assure you and your dogs safety, comfort and reliability. Deerskin dog equipment feature stainless steel construction so they never need painting and require minimum maintenance and upkeep.
